Cape Blanco Country Music Festival 2015

by Jamie Bennett

Cape Blanco, 2015 was probably the best time that I have had at one of these country music festivals. I  use to couch my appreciation of music with platitudes about how "I like just old country," and "how new country is too much like pop." I don't think I will do that anymore. I really had a great time at this festival, and will admit to rocking out (slightly). To the left is a photo of me with the marketing team. My wife and daughter are there too. I painted all the signs hanging there. This was our FREE, old-timey photo booth.

Llew (my daughter) met Amy Clawson after her show, and Amy was incredibly sweet to her (Llew was star struck). Llew was also boot scootin all weekend, high on sugar.  I got incredibly close to the main stage during the Florida Georgia Line performance. I also think someone from Florida Georgia Line put on the egg suit when I was backstage. I wasn't allowed to take pictures of/with them (completely understandable), but they put on one hell of a show.

I got on stage this year to help Amy Clawson shoot t-shirts out of a cannon. Our booth wasn't as busy as I expected, but we were further off the beaten path this year. We were still slammed. We had the best giveaways this year – light up glasses, bracelets, necklaces, killer Eggie koozies and more. It was a great weekend. I am exhausted now, but thankful for the experience. In two weeks we will be doing this all over again at Brownsville, for Willamette Country Music Festival. WCMF has a much larger crowd, and I may be too wiped out to really take in the music. From now on I will say (when asked) that I like all music, mostly without exception (so long as it's good or quirky).

One of 100 Movers and Shakers

by Jamie Bennett

I was picked to be one of 100 professionals featured in RV Pro magazine, the July 2015 issue. The article appears on page 38 and is title, "The Good Egg." It talks about how I do the Eggie thing and help manage Guaranty's $1,000,000 ad budget.

I didn't know that I was going to be featured in the magazine. When the company photographer asked to nab my photo, I shot him a live long and prosper. He shot another photo while he was there, which is the photo they used in the publication.

To the right is what the cover of the publication looked like. It was an incredible honor to be featured along side such incredible leaders in the RV industry. This was a great surprise and really made my Tuesday.

Shooting Hoops with Jordan Kent

by Jamie Bennett

When you're an eggman, you have friends in high places. Jordan Kent dropped by today to shoot some hoops.

Guaranty ponied up $1,500 (prize money) for the winner of a one on one basketball game. If Jordan won, the kids camp would finally get their new basketballs... But if I won, well there was no way I was going to win.

Pear Blossom Parade

by Jamie Bennett

This past weekend I woke up at 5 am and headed down to Medford, Ore. for the 2015 Pear Blossom Festival. We currently have a show going on at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, where Guaranty wound up selling it's giveaway trailer. I had to arrive in Medford early enough to install fresh decals on the new promotional trailer, so that it could be in the parade. I love driving around Oregon, especially before the sun comes up. The drive between Springfield and Medford is especially gorgeous. I was rocking out to Coachella the whole way down via satellite radio (what a time to be alive).

It was wet and wild. I had to keep drying the surface of the give away trailer, while installing decals. It was a time crunch, but I made it.

The parade was awesome. I love waving to the children and dancing on my fluorescent, bubble rig. I was surrounded by my signage and friends. I was wet, tired, and having a whole lot of fun. Luckily, Medford has a Del Taco.  I loaded up on some/lots of quesadillas before driving home.

When I got home I slept. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. Here is a photo of me curled up with Herman (the world's best body pillow).

Work Hard, Play Hard

by Jamie Bennett

Nothing new to report. We are beating the war drums pretty hard at Guaranty. We have basically been rotating campaigns weekly onsite, as well as offsite. We have been producing endless amounts of marketing materials. The show season for RVs is off and running with great success. At this rate, we should have our most profitable year on record. I have been over utilizing my plotter, and I am beginning to wonder what I ever did without one. It is super handy, to be able to make signage in-house at a moments notice.

Above is a photo of me DisneyBounding as Smee and my daughter is Think, naturally. We spent this spring break in Disneyland. I love Disneyland – to be surrounded by the positive energy of decades of happy children was exactly what I needed. My daughter had never experienced Disneyland, and she was blown away. To the right is a photo of her with her hero. She was so nervous that she couldn't even look at Cinderella, that was until we got her a make over at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime. Not the most restful vacation. I was up every morning earlier than I typically get up for a work day. I also got pneumonia the last two days I was in California, and i had to drive back home sick. It was all worth it. I love Disneyland and can't wait to go back.

To the right is a photo of me with my latest contributions to the gallery. The full write up on what all I did for Lunar Logic so far can be found under galleries. I now have 15 pieces up in their office, by my last estimate. I hope that I get to do more for them, but I have already done quite a bit. I think their office space is looking super sweet. I could always think of more ways to increase brand awareness in their space.
